Another Job!
Yes, Another simple birthday cake. This one was for my Boyfriend's birthday from his office. He wanted something simple but I added some sass to it. Vanilla cake, chocolate frosting and I decided to put a layer of fresh strawberries in the middle. His favorite color is green so of course the message had to be in green as well. And some real strawberries with frosting stems on the front for decoration.

My First Job!
My mother has always loved to remind me "that it is all about connections, connections, connections!" Well mom, It turns out you were right, so thank you!
I had to go into my boyfriends office for a meeting with his boss and we got to talking about my cake making and he told me that he used to have someone who would do all the birthday cakes for the office but the client was no longer involved and that there was a birthday in less than a week. Badda bing badda boom; I'll do it! I had my boyfriend do some recon and find out what the birthday boy's favorite kind of cake is and bought the materials, asked for a design concept and this was the finished product: Vanilla cake(with pink food coloring), Chocolate icing and pink lettering.

| I was told to decorate with pink because the birthday boy always has something pink in his outfit |
| I thought the plastic cover gave it a bit more professionalism |

21!
For my 21st birthday I wanted to make my own cake. I know that people are supposed to make it and then surprise you, but I had done it a couople of times before and it tastes just a little sweeter when you know how much love has gone into a project. I decided I would have a party so the "cake" needed to be accessible - of course I decided to go with cupcakes. Now to make the extra special and to make sure everyone liked them I wanted to do half chocolate and half vanilla. There ended up- being 3 different kinds of cupcakes. The minis were just chocolate or vanilla with vanilla frosting - a bit Dr. Suess like. The larger cupcakes were either vanilla n top or chocolate on top with vanilla icing and 21's with little white stars at the tips of the 1's. I added pink food coloring to the vinilla cake so the cakes were all very girly.
My Birthday was so much fun! So many of my friends came to celebrate with me :)

Chocolate Peanut-Butter Explosions
For another dinner at my uncle's house I was in charge of dessert again, no problem with me. I was at Kmart checking out, with well I don't even remember what but... there were reese's peanut-butter cups. and thought wouldn't it be great to have a peanut-butter and chocolate cupcake?? So this is what came out- Chocolate cake with peanut-butter and pieces of reese's mixed into the batter, with a chocolate and peanut-butter frosting(not just the flavor actually peanut-butter!) with a piece of reese'e on top for decorations.
don't they look delicious?!
you can really see the peanut-butter swirls in the good light.
one lonely cupcake...
don't worry they don't mind the spotlight :)
