Dad's Birthday cake

For my dad's birthday I wanted to create something really delicious. My dad is Irish and I had found this recipe for Irish Car-Bomb cupcakes that I had been wanting to try for a while. He also does not get to indulge on sweets as often as he used to because of health reasons. Why not give him a special treat for his birthday?!  So I took the recipe and turned it into a cake this is what came out: Chocolate-Guinness cake, Chocolate-Jameson Ganache filling and Bailey's Buttercream Frosting. Delicious!

From the top
There was originally a big candle in the middle (note random spot in the middle)

From the Side
I had run out of cake boards, which is why it is not nice and clean on the sides

yummmmm I want another piece
just imagine whipped cream with chocolate drizzle on each piece!

  1. Sometimes when you eat a dessert it is " an amazing experience of the senses". A first bite can be a surprise of tastes and textures that mix together staying with you after you swallow - a true testament to something amazing.
I had to take another bite of this yummy , perfect mix of concoctions to really understand the layers of flavors because it was white, but it was mixed this way and that, was moist but had crunch too? A whoah.
Izzy put her creative heart into this celebration dessert. I can hardly wait to see what's coming next.
